Raiders’ Selection of Pryor No Surprise

Should anyone be surprised that the Oakland Raiders picked Terrelle Pryor in Sunday’s NFL Supplemental Draft? No, not at all.  The selection is a logical decision for the NFL Franchise that has shown the worst judgment for the past twenty years.

Should there be any wonder that Al Davis would make such a decision after having Marty Feldman as a Coach?

Would you want your son playing for him?

On a serious note, let’s take a look at a history of recent coaches starting from the firing of Mike shanahan.  Art Shell, Mike White, Joe Bugel, Jon Gruden, Bill Callahan, Norv Turner, Art Shell (again), Lane Kiffin, Tom Cable and Hue Jackson.
Hue Jackson?          Really?

This Was After A Win!

Seriously!  All Kidding Aside.  I don’t mean to offend anyone who is a Raider Fan, but the Franchise relishes in its sordid, history.  They played mean, dirty, (and excellent sometimes) but after the exit of Tom Flores, (Jon Gruden aside) it has been all downhill.  Art Shell did ok, Joe Bugel stunk, Mike White (was this guy Al’s Poker Buddy?), Bill Callahan tried to install the West Coast Offense at Nebraska-enough said.   We won’t even discuss Lane Kiffin.
Enter Terrelle Pryor.  The Raiders gave up a third round pick next year, so now they don’t  have a pick in the 2nd, 3rd and 4th rounds next year, and they said they were going to play him at Quarterback or receiver.  Two quick things come to mind.  First, is it is impossible to destroy a program that has already gone supernova and second, there is only one logical selection for the next head coach-
